What do you REALLY want to do?

As time has continued to go by and this semester’s end becomes closer and closer, I realize that it is time for me to grow up.  There are not more socials, no more pool days in the middle of the week and no more staying up way to late, full well knowing you have a test the next day.  The things that made all of us happy for the last 4 years of our lives are quickly fading away and it will soon be time to find those new things that make us happy.

The most important thing that many of us are having to decide on very soon is what kind of PR we actually want to practice.

Being in a job or career that i enjoy is very important to me.  I have known for a long time that i didn’t want a 9-5, Monday – Friday, suit and tie job.  What I didn’t know when I chose to follow a career in PR was, how many different aspects there actually are in the PR world.

If you pick the proper aspect of PR that you want to go into then you will not only be certain to excel at it but you will be much more likely to be happy about your life as a whole.

After going through most of my major classes and learning more than i ever thought I would, I have already decided that I want to go after a career in the Crisis Management part of Public Relations.  Knowing what i want from a job and what i want to put into it makes knowing what i actually want to do a lot easier.

To all of those who are fixing to graduate and enter the working world as a college educated young adult, i say good luck; and for those that are still continuing down this journey we call college, I say, please make sure you are doing what you want to do, don’t settle and just be who you are and do what you want to do.
